Dr. Rajeev Kumar joined BRJ`s Editorial Board. 

Dr. Rajeev Kumar received his PhD in Biochemical and Chemical Engineering from Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH, USA and MS in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, India. He is currently working as an Assistant Research Engineer at the Center for Environmental Research and Technology (CE-CERT), Bourns College of Engineering, University of California, Riverside (UCR), CA, USA. Prior to UCR, Dr. Kumar served as a Director and Scientist at Zymetis, Inc., College Park, Maryland for almost two years. Dr. Kumar’s broad research focus is conversion of lignocellulosic biomass to biofuels and chemicals via biochemical and chemocatalytic routes. Dr. Kumar has authored/co-authored more than 45 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. Co-Invention of a highly effective tetrahydrofuran based Co-solvent Enhanced Lignocellulosic Fractionation (CELF) technology and discovery of strong cellulase inhibition by xylooligomers and mannan polysaccharides and their oligomers are a few examples of his research accomplishments. He is a regular reviewer of articles submitted to international journals of repute. He is currently serving as a Section Editor for Biotechnology for Biofuels and Associate Editor for Journal of Biomass to Biofuel.
